Freelancing February

About a week ago, I signed-up for a freelancing website and I got accepted. Then, I realized that I had to apply again to whatever category I was interested in writing for. The only one I felt I was remotely qualified to write about was the Pet Section. I applied, but wasn't feeling very confident about it.

I was bummed out because I had spent so much time reading guidelines about how assignments worked and spent time working on my bio, and I thought it was probably all for nothing. But, I got accepted!

And, I was pleasantly surprised when I logged-in and found over 1800 assignments waiting to be claimed! I won't be getting rich, but it will at least bring in a little bit of extra income. And with the vast number of assignments, I will always have something to work on if I want.

There is a lot of material to get through before I claim my first assignment though--my head is spinning from it all, like how to format the articles, style guide rules, how to use citations and references, and the list goes on, but at least it will be good practice!

Here is the website if anyone wants to take a look:

Other than that, it's been very cold the last little while--too cold to snow, but the weather is going to warm up a bit over the next few days and we have another snow storm system heading our way. Personally, I'd rather have a lot of snow over bitter cold anytime!

Hope everyone is off to a fabulous February!
